Seven chapels, one Fellowship

Nestled across the Lincolnshire landscape, among green fields, agriculture and historic towns and cities, our Methodist circuit unites 7 chapels waiting to welcome you. We gather to celebrate local life, preserve deep-rooted heritage, and embrace all newcomers with a warm countryside welcome.

Worship leaders, chapel stewards and support workers organise and guide our weekly activities, coordinate community outreach, and keep our doors open. This provides support to our ministry team and superintendent.

Dedicated ministers provide spiritual guidance, home visits, and a listening ear to anyone navigating life's joys and challenges. They guide, work collaboratively with all 7 chapels, and, when God calls them, they move to new pastures.

Our Congregants play a big part towards the mission, direction and ethos of the church. They work with the leadership teams to plan and direct the mission, then build & develop activities and outreach programs.

Community Action

Pastoral stewards ensure all members have a designated point of contact for prayer. They meet and greet, do home visits and are part of our NEW HERE team. They're often the first to identify those in need and play an invaluable role within our church family.

Our circuit is blessed with a superintendent, a minister, several supernumerary ministers, lay worship leaders, and circuit support workers. All of whom, along with local arrangements and circuit services, ensure that God's word is brought to each chapel's congregation, together with joyful singing and, of course, cake to follow!

Each chapel has a unique and specific role or mission within the community. Some churches work collaboratively on projects to support their mission program and serve their community. Details of our outreach programs can be viewed on our individual chapel pages.

Everyone has a place in our tent

Our chapels serve our immediate and wider communities as well as overseas projects. There are plenty of opportunities to use your skills and talents in service to God. We have projects that support Ukraine and Afghan or Hong Kong guests, groups that help reduce social isolation, groups that help new parents to adjust to the changes that parenthood brings, with activities such as craft groups, IT support, mending groups, bible study, games clubs and much more.

To get involved with our church projects, you do not need to be a member of one of our churches. Although membership brings additional benefits and opportunities to shape the mission work and decisions moving forward, we welcome all volunteers. Why not pray and consider where God may want to use your unique talents? Then have a chat with any of the church stewards or the leadership team to explore serving opportunities; All are welcome in our tent!

In the picture you can see a couple of our volunteers at the local village show, one wrote, "As a new volunteer I simply had to write how much fun, laughter and love I experienced, seeing the children so engrossed and the parents sharing the child's experience. Also, for me, the interaction with children, parents and other volunteers has been very uplifting - thank you; I'll be back!!"
