Our Chapel
The first Wesleyan Methodist chapel in the village was built in 1809, but it was replaced by a new chapel in Saint Andrew's Street in 1835.
The building of the current church started in 1904, to the designs of Nottingham-based architect Albert Edward Lambert.
An extension of a schoolroom and the enclosed garden mean our chapel is used every day by lots of local groups, Scouts, Brownies, for example as well as an extensive list of activities from German to Pilates.

Where to find us
Welcome to our church.
Our Sunday services are informal and follow a variety of styles according to who is preaching. Welcome; we would love to see you if you would like to pop in. We are a happy, informal group who are trying to live our lives based on our Christian faith. We share our strengths and abilities, encourage, celebrate and care for one another. If you are new to church or just exploring, please do give us a try; we would love to meet you and be one of your options if you are trying new churches. If we are not quite the right fit for you, that's fine too; we want you to feel comfortable and be where God wants you to be.
We also have a First Friday group where we meet on the first Friday of the month to enjoy a shared meal, then talk about topics that are pertinent to that day's news. We share thoughts and ideas on how our faith impacts us. It's a friendly, welcoming, open group that gives the freedom to think, be challenged in a respectful way and consider a range of opinions; all opinions are welcome.
We have a twice-monthly Bible study group (Gossiping the Gospel) that meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesday evenings and Take 5, our pre-school group for toddlers or babies. Take 5 runs term time every Thursday afternoon and is free to attend. We have a weekly theme as well as singing and healthy snacks, unless there is Birthday cake!
We also have a monthly Soup & Sweet club that offers tasty food and friendship for a small charge on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Booking is required for this activity; please use the contact us page to reach out.
We hire our hall for local groups such as guiding, scouting and U3A, Heckington Gardners and WI and many more and have a wonderful relationship with the Bowls club at the rear of our gardens.
We offer our monthly Saturday coffee mornings to local village groups and charities to help raise funds, if you would like to chat to us about hall hire or coffee mornings please contact Sally Pinchbeck below.
Chapel Events
Looking for some family fun this Christmas season? We have a range of activities especially for families. Our village Advent Window Trail is back, bigger and better! Our Messy Church Sunday Service will offer crafts and Christmas tree decorating, tasty treats, and, of course, we will have a Candlelight Family Carol Service too.

Heckington Chapel has a Saturday coffee morning on 12th Sept from 10 am to 12 pm to raise funds and awareness for St Barnabas and the amazing work they do throughout the county. Why not pop along to show your support and enjoy meeting new people and finding out more about this charity?
