Our Chapel
Ruskington Methodist Church has been part of village life for almost 200 years, with Methodist records dating back to 1833. A chapel was built on Chapel Street in 1849, with the building and its facilities growing over the years as the church community grew. By the 1940s the original building was in need of major repair, and after years of fundraising a new church was finally built and opened in 1958. The new church was designed to meet the needs of a growing congregation and community, providing a modern and welcoming space for worship and fellowship. More than 65 years later, the building continues to serve the village, carrying forward the faith, commitment and community spirit of those who worked so hard to create it.

Welcome to church
Our mission is to reflect the greatness of God, share the love and light of Jesus Christ, and demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit within our church family and local community—bringing people into deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and each other, growing in discipleship, and inspiring more followers of Jesus Christ.
Growing in awareness of God’s presence and celebrating God’s love through meaningful worship, prayer and opportunities to worship together as a church, village and circuit.
Caring for one another through fellowship groups like 'Women on a Wednesday' 'Lunch Bunch' and 'Warm Space'. Working seasonally with families through activities such as the ecumenical Easter trail, summer visit to the local farm and Christmas Crafternoon, whilst also praying and eating together.
We are a warm, friendly church who offer many new and inspiring ways to worship. Whether that's a singing group, learning to sign (BSL) our welcome introduction to each Sunday or developing new ECO events for our church and community. We are at the heart of the village so please do come say hello. We would love to meet you.

And there's more this month, why not join us for Entertainment and afternoon tea on Saturday, 26th Sept at 4 pm? Donations gratefully received. Or come to our Special Service with a Bring-&-Share lunch to follow on Sunday, 4th October at 11 am? All are welcome.
We will be collecting non-perishable food donations for Sleaford New Life Community Larder at both events. Thank you.

This September's Saturday coffee morning will be in aid of Lincolnshire's Down Syndrome Support Group. Helping to raise awareness and inclusivity for all. Why not join us for refreshments, a raffle, and much more?
No booking required, just pop in!
Don't forget that every Friday in term time we have our Warm Spaces for All Seasons group. With great activities, company, food and chat, we are open to meeting the community and building friendships. We regularly have agencies dropping by with energy-saving tips, help and advice to make your homes warmer and your money go that little bit farther. 10.30 am to 2 pm. Come and meet the team.
