Our Chapel

Little Hale Methodist Chapel is a grade 2 listed building with a modern expansion. Built in 1837 and altered later in the 19th century, it is a significant historical building in Little Hale. It is constructed of red brick with yellow brick decoration and a pantiled roof. The chapel features an off-centre 4-panelled door with stained and bordered overlight, glazing bar sashes, and a rectangular ashlar datestone inscribed '1837' on the right gable. The interior retains matchboard panelling to walls, deal benches, and a panelled preacher's desk and reflects an early primitive chapel.

Welcome to our church

Little Hale Chapel is a small chapel with a big heart! Today our congregation is small, but we still have plenty of visitors using our church to come together in fellowship, friendship and faith. Our Christmas Eve candlelight Family service is a particular favourite, as many in the village are drawn to this traditional service and carols. Working with our support worker, we have replaced all the damaged parts of the listed windows, repaired the original sash mechanisms and redecorated the interior which now creates a warm and welcoming space. If you want an intimate church setting with a friendly feel, then Little Hale may be the place for you.

Chapel Events

This Sunday, 6th September, we are delighted to be hosting the Sleaford Circuit Service at 4 pm with our District Chair, Rev. Angie Long. Come and join us for fun and faith, and fellowship afterwards. All are welcome.

Don't forget we have our monthly coffee mornings on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 10.30 am. Why not pop along and meet your neighbours? Dates are Tuesday, Sept 1st at 10.30 am, Tuesday, 6th October at 10.30 am and Tuesday, 3rd December at 10.30 am.

All are welcome; we have delicious treats, and donations help support the church.

Why not visit one of our monthly craft sessions? Friendly faces, great crafts, a new one each time. Lots of chat and laughter, and of course refreshments! We are subsidised by Co-op, who help us provide outreach to the local community whilst building friendships.
