Sunday Services: begin at 10.30 am, followed by refreshments.
1st Sunday of the month is Anglican liturgy with communion in St Peter's Church. 2nd Sunday is Methodist Cafe Church; 3rd Sunday is Anglican 'Open Door' worship. The 4th Sunday is a traditional Methodist service; the 5th Sunday is a Messy Church breakfast, held at the Methodist Church (with an earlier start time of 09.30 am).

Dunston Methodist Chapel and St Peter's COE Church.

A congregation was established as early as 1850, with the chapel being built just 9 years later. A further extension in 1870 saw the addition of a schoolroom, and the chapel is used widely today by the village through churches together.

St Peter's church was built in the 12th century, but after a devastating fire in 1870, only the west tower remained, so the chapel was rebuilt around it in 1874-76

A shared passion for Church unity is the key focus for both village churches; it's how 'Churches Together' evolved.

With a shared vision and commitment, Dunston Methodist & St Peter's Anglican Church provide a united witness for our local community, built on love.

With 2 different church buildings, we can offer diverse and inclusive worship, encompassing new and old traditions and music.

We have modernised our flexible spaces for worship and social activities, and are blessed with a beautiful garden for contemplation and wildlife!

Some of our regular activities include: Monthly community cafe, Lunch club, Knit and natter, Crafternoon for families, Food Bank collections and CHIPS (Community Help In Particular Situations) as needs arise. We have a variety of social offerings throughout the year and have become a strong focal point for village life.

At Churches Together, we care about ensuring we do all we can to improve and preserve the planet so we work closely with our local community and within both churches. We are currently working on our Gold award.

Join us on Sunday, 30th August at 09.30 for Messy Breakfast! Faith, Fun, Family, sharing food and creating together. All are welcome.
